THE MOUNTAIN
An initiative that seeks to promote climbing and mountain sports as mechanisms for recognition, environmental protection, and the reconstruction of the social fabric in Colombia.
This project is aimed at vulnerable children and young people in the center of Bogotá, Colombia, and seeks to provide tools to rebuild lives, care for the environment, and give a new opportunity through climbing and mountain sports.

What is climbing?
It is an Olympic sport that involves climbing a route or wall using safe climbing techniques and is considered an activity that requires skill, strength and strategy to overcome obstacles and reach the top.
Climbing develops psychomotor, mental and physical skills that promote personal, spiritual and athletic development.

What's the plan?
The wall will not only be a space for physical training, but also an educational tool to foster values of cooperation, resilience, and respect for the environment. Overall, the project promotes community building while encouraging environmental awareness and protection.
The project seeks to build a Boulder climbing wall as a starting point to generate social inclusion and promote access to mountain sports for vulnerable populations.

Environmental protection
El Monte aims to help participants understand the inherent relationship between sports and the natural environments we inhabit through educational activities, identification of flora and fauna species, including planting days, in partnership with entities that promote environmental education and the horizontal relationship between athletes and the territory.
